Fees & limits
Whir keeps pricing deliberately boring: one flat 1% service fee on the mixed amount, plus the standard network miner fee that any Bitcoin transaction pays. There is no account fee, no per-address surcharge and no spread quietly baked into the rate. What you see when you create the order is what leaves your balance.

Why there is a fee at all
The service fee is what keeps the pool working. It funds the liquidity that lets your payout come from coins unrelated to your deposit, and it makes spam and abuse expensive enough that the pool stays healthy. A mixer that claimed a zero fee would have to make money some other way — usually by widening a hidden spread or by monetising the very data a no-log service promises to delete.
Limits per coin
Minimums exist so that a mix has enough company in the pool to be meaningful — a dust-sized deposit is easy to single out. The per-mix cap keeps individual transactions in a normal range instead of producing one conspicuous whale-sized output. If you need to move more than the cap, run several mixes rather than one oversized one.
